"Early Mariposa" - Circa 1850-60. The mural by California artist Earl Rogers can be viewed at The Mariposa Museum & History Center. The mural depicts the town, various mining methods and ethnic mix of peoples of the time. Rogers motivation in painting the mural was sparked by his wife Eileen's long interest in the ares's history and Fremont Journals.
